last night we had everyone in the building over at our apartment before we headed out to the piazza michelangelo in the hopes of finding a place to DANCE.
even with 2 fans blowing in the kitchen, we still could not get cool. (i know i should probably stop complaining because when it starts to get cold, i’m gonna wish it were hot again!!) when we climbed up the hill to the piazza, we tried to find the disco. never in my life have i seen such a line to get into a club. and no amount of name-dropping could get us in. the line was just too ridiculous. yoanna promised to make everything better by her saturday morning crepe offer. BYOT. (bring your own toppings).

as promised, yoyo made delicious bulgarian crepes this morning. with some nutella we “borrowed” from the hotel and bananas from the local market, we had our crepe feast! YUM. now what to do to work off our breakfast? hike to galileo’s villa sounds amazing…
i don’t think the florentines know how lucky they are to be living in such a beautiful city. yoanna, gaby, kevin, christo, jason, and i went on a hunt for the villa. we ended up doing a hike south of the arno on the outskirts of florence with incredible views of the entire city. the walk took us past a fort from world war ii, the house in which tchaikovsky was born, grape trees?, fig trees, all the way to san miniato. views to DIE for. it gives me the chills. and somehow we ended up at the piazza michelangelo. no idea how.
tomorrow, i think we might row down the arno. yeah. no big deal.
mom, call me please?
xoxo

You went the back way. You'll wind up a lot of places accidentally. It's a lot smaller city than you're thinking right now!
