FINALLY all moved in and it feels UH-MAY-ZING. i think i brought too much stuff, but it all fits pretty well considering. i wish i brought more photos though. i only have like five because i never got a chance to print them out before i left. sad face. send me pictures everyone!! oh that reminds me. if you want to send me anything, send it to school. the address is:
via g. leopardi 12
50121 firenze, italy
the mail is super ghetto here, so it can take months to receive it if you try sending it to my apartment. and if you want to send a big package (aka birthday present hint hint ;) ) make sure it says USED PERSONAL ITEMS with a value of like 10 – 20 bucks. or else the poliziotto will confiscate it!
last night, my roommates and i definitely achieved creeper status, spying on the cute half-naked, smoking, cooking italian boys living across the street from us. yes, they did finally notice us staring at them from the shadows of our kitchen and living room… but we were just trying to be friendly! oh and by the way, our apartment building is entirely inhabited by the kids from our program—and 11 of us are architects. after our espionage mission, we went downstairs to mingle with our neighbs and played some intense card games with them. glad to have a bunch of archy’s in the vicinity.
did i mention how much i love gelato? i swear that place is open forever. so far i have tried/had cookies, tiramisu, nuts, nutella, chocolate chip, lemon, berry, and pistachio. not a single bad flavor flaaave. oh and the gelateria man almost had to help me break into my apartment last night because my key wasn’t working. he brought out a knife and everything. SO ready to do business on that door. luckily we just realized that i am an idiot and i was using the wrong key (i swear i tried it!).
side note: the girls had a life drawing class for their studio art program and drew a live nude male model who just so happens to be the dj at club a block from our house! what are the odds? and won’t that be awk for him? haha we’ll see…
italian quiz tomorrow, kids. gotta go study uppp…
love until later,
lex
